Chelsea handed £25.4m transfer twist after unexpected January U-turn and Enzo Maresca decision
Chelsea could be set to sanction some marquee deals in the remaining weeks of the January transfer window. Minimal movement in the senior team has taken place thus far, prior to the surprise return of Trevoh Chalobah, with a few other loan recalls confirmed by the Blues during the winter window.
Exit links surrounding the likes of Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix and Axel Disasi have also emerged. Of those three names, Disasi is the player most likely to leave, despite their defensive injuries with interest from abroad.
As for possible incomings, Mathys Tel, Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens have all been linked as potential new signings. football.london understands the latter duo have been identified as players of interest, as Chelsea look to sign a new winger.

Renato Veiga also looked to be one that could move on this month - with Borussia Dortmund beginning talks. As football.london reported earlier this week, Chelsea were open to sanctioning an exit for the versatile 21-year-old, but only on a permanent basis. To sanction a departure, Chelsea were demanding £25.4million (€30million).
Although Veiga was keen to play at centre-back on a more regular basis, his stance on a departure changed with the Portugal international instead wanting to seal a loan move, as per transfer guru Fabrizio Romano. Interest from Dortmund remained, but now a new club are in the race for his signature.
According to French outlet L'Equipe, Marseille want to sign Veiga on loan with a mandatory purchase option as club chiefs are huge fans of his profile. Even with those exit links, Maresca named both Veiga, and Nkunku, in his matchday squad for the midweek 2-2 draw against Bournemouth, although neither featured off the bench.
Despite the chaotic recent updates surrounding his future, Veiga appeared all-smiles in the latest set of Chelsea training images. On Friday, via his Instagram story, he uploaded an image of himself at Cobham with a big smiling face emoji on the photo which certainly reflected his emotions in the session.
