It could be a busy transfer deadline day for Chelsea, with the Blues also in action amid the transfer activity going on around them.

Clubs have until 11pm to complete their business with Enzo Maresca’s team possibly involved in both incomings and outgoings from Stamford Bridge. Several players have been linked with both an arrival and exit from the club.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will be preparing for their Premier League clash against West Ham United tonight (Monday, 8pm). A win would see the Blues climb up to fourth place in the table following losses for Man City and Newcastle over the weekend.

With eyes turning back to deadline day, there are bound to be a lot of talk about comings and goings. With that in mind, we’ve taken a look at the latest stories and given our own thoughts on them.

Mathys Tel hope

Chelsea have been given a hope in a potential deadline day move for Mathys Tel, with a move to Manchester United seemingly falling through. United appeared to be the frontrunners for the Bayern Munich man on Sunday, but negotiations between the two clubs stalled with a move to Old Trafford before the deadline reportedly unlikely.

Chelsea were one of several teams linked with a move for the forward in the transfer window. The collapse of the move to United could potentially open the door for the Blues to make their move.

FL says : It seems that Tel is open to a move away from Bayern before the end of the window, although the German club are insisting on the deal either being on a permanent basis or a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

The Blues have a long-standing interest in the Frenchman. If they can reach a deal with Bayern that suits all, then it could be a clever bit of business for all involved.

Christopher Nkunku move ‘unlikely’

With the deal for Tel falling through, it has led to talk that United could reignite their interest in Chelsea man Christopher Nkunku as a possible alternative. United have been linked with the forward, with even talk of a possible swap deal that could see Alejandro Garnacho move to Chelsea in the opposite way.

However, according to the Athletic, a deal for Nkunku is not ‘being progressed’, suggesting that a move before the deadline is unlikely.

FL says : While Nkunku will be keen on more game time, sanctioning a move away from Stamford Bridge without bringing a replacement in would not make sense. It seems that his staying at the club now seems the most likely outcome, given United’s stance on the transfer.
