Chelsea are willing to let Joao Felix leave in a permanent deal on transfer deadline day amid interest from Aston Villa, football.london understands. However, the Blues want at least £60million to allow the attacker to leave.

The 25-year-old is in his second stint at Stamford Bridge, having arrived on loan for the second half of the 2022/23 season. After just 20 appearances in all competitions during that spell, Chelsea opted not to sign him from Atletico Madrid, however.

Following that move, Felix went to Barcelona on loan for the 2023/24 season. However, Barca also opted against making his move permanent at the end of that spell, leaving Chelsea to make a surprise move for him in the summer transfer window.

Felix has featured sporadically for the Blues this season, but is behind Cole Palmer in consideration for what would be his favoured role in the No.10 position. He has also featured on both the right and left of attack, but has been unable to nail down a starting role in either amongst considerable competition for places at Stamford Bridge.

That has led the Blues to consider an exit for the attacker just a few months after joining on a permanent deal. Aston Villa have been one of the interested clubs, but while football.london understands that they would consider a move for the 25-year-old, they have no interest in paying a fee of over £60million.

Villa have recently signed Marcus Rashford on loan to bolster their attacking line after the exit of Jhon Duran, with Marco Asensio also set to arrive on a short-term deal. A muscle injury to Arsenal-linked Ollie Watkins at the weekend has meant the club are considering further moves in attack, but it looks unlikely a deal will be agreed unless there is a significant change in either side's valuation for Felix.
