Chelsea ended 2024 on a low note after losing 2-0 at relegation-threatened Ipswich Town.

The hosts got off to the perfect start after Liam Delap beat Filip Jorgensen - from the penalty spot - to put Ipswich ahead. Omari Hutchinson then doubled Ipswich's lead with a fine finish.

The result is a serious blow to Chelsea's Premier League title hopes with Enzo Maresca's team now 10 points behind Liverpool at the summit, having also played a game more. Maresca's side are without a win in their last three games after a draw at Everton before losing to Fulham, too.
