Chelsea now have unexpected £53m striker transfer chance as new January talks held
Chelsea could change their January transfer plans with a huge opportunity potentially arising before deadline day. The Blues are yet to sanction any moves this month, but the window has not closed just yet, and some major deals could still be announced.
Both Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku have been strongly linked with departures while Mathys Tel, Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho have all emerged as of interest to Chelsea. Actual moves being sanctioned or formal approaches being made for any of those currently looks unlikely, but there is one Chelsea deal set to be confirmed.
Having made it clear he wanted to play at centre-back, Renato Veiga will soon be confirmed as a Juventus player on a short-term loan deal. Another defender could also be departing on a temporary basis, with Wolves and Aston Villa battling it out to bring in Axel Disasi, as football.london understands.

Unai Emery's side currently appear to be leading the race for his signature, having agreed personal terms. With Villa and the Blues appearing set to be in direct contact over the coming days to negotiate a package, Jhon Duran's name coming up is a real possibility.
Chelsea are long-term admirers of Duran, having shown a concrete interest in acquiring his services last summer before moving onto other targets and ultimately not signing another striker. That decision is currently impacting Nicolas Jackson in the worst possible way, with the 23-year-old in a poor run of form.
Though Nkunku is fit and available, Enzo Maresca has been persisting with Jackson, but his lack of goals have somewhat contributed to Chelsea's dip in results, as just two wins have been secured in the last eight games, with three of those being Premier League defeats.
While focus may be on sanctioning defensive departures, a possible transfer opportunity has emerged following talks with Juventus. Though all the formalities for Veiga have been agreed upon, the Italian club asked about the situation of Carney Chukwuemeka.
Several European clubs are monitoring the Chelsea outcast, including Borussia Dortmund, but giving Juventus the green light to sign him could see the Blues ask for their own player in return. Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with several Premier League clubs, and this could be the perfect moment to sign him.
Having brought in Randal Kolo Muani on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, assuming he keeps up the good form after scoring on his debut against Napoli, Juventus plan to purchase him on a permanent basis.
Vlahovic, who was valued at £53million by Juventus at the start of the window, is unlikely to want to play second-string and considering his recent injury, there is no guarantee he gets back into the starting XI. Either on a loan deal or a permanent basis, Chelsea could help him solve that dilemma.
With Chelsea's striker issues very clear, the Serbia international could absolutely shake things up, and that open line of communication, along with the Chukwuemeka interest, could be used to their advantage.
