Chelsea sent clear Alejandro Garnacho message in Man Utd transfer dilemma
Young and talented winger Alejandro Garnacho is available for the right price, as new Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim struggles to clear out players to make way for his new system - but Chelsea fans in the football.london comments sections are warning against paying big money when there are other issues in the squad to address first.
Garnacho was once thought to be an exciting part of United's future, but has fallen out of favour with a new system being implemented at Old Trafford. A £40million bid from Napoli has already been rejected, but Chelsea are said to be preparing a bid - though Enzo Maresca has also said that he is happy with the attacking options already at the club.
United's preferred price for Garnacho is thought to be above £60million. The 20-year-old has impressed in the past, scoring ten goals and registering five assists last season, and stunned fans all over the world with a Puskas Award-winning bicycle kick.

But some fans fail to see what he would add or improve to Maresca's squad in the fight for top four. Commenter Peterlwise says: “More transfer madness by people hell-bent on justifying their jobs. DO NOT get Garnacho. £70mill is an absurd price. Him plus Mudryk - most expensive stupid purchase this century - would be about £160 mill. Absurd. Obscene.”
Agents for Garnacho have been spotted in and around Chelsea, but reader HenryBB writes: “Agent only there to fuel speculation, and hence increase transfer value. Chelsea supporters don't want him. We have plenty of wingers, Pedro, Sancho, Noni, and Mudryk (if he returns).”
Osammy says the club has all of the pieces it needs: “Put Jackson at leftwing, Felix as striker & Palmer in right wing. You'll see goals & no need for Garnacho.”
Bill Robertson writes: “We don't need Garnacho at this time, even with Mudryk banned. We had 4 wingers in the squad last night, and we have Estevao Willian coming to the club. We need to move players out of our 45 man squad first.”
On our Facebook page, Michael Anthony says: “We don’t need him, what is wrong with this manager? Spend that money on a striker or a better keeper.” Steve Drew writes: “What a complete waste of money for an average player, and if Chelsea buy him then they will regret it. If he’s that good why are United trying to offload him?”
Peter Burton says: “We don’t need an average winger. We need a goalscorer, centre half and a goalkeeper.” Emmanuel Obialor writes: “We don't need him, there is Sancho, Neto, Madueke, George, even Felix can play from the wing.”
Ben Maina wants to see other priorities taken care of first: “Madness! Why are we buying more wingers especially those who have failed at other clubs? We should be making a bid for Osimhen.”
