Chelsea sent transfer plea as Ronaldo point made amid Real Madrid stance
PSV Eindhoven striker Ricardo Pepi has expressed his admiration for Chelsea but admits he also has a soft spot for Real Madrid and Ronaldo.
The 22-year-old has scored 10 times in the Eredivisie this season and one goal in the Champions League. The American forward is reportedly set to sign a new deal at PSV until 2030.
However, he has already hinted that if a potential move to Chelsea came about, he would be more than happy to complete a transfer to Stamford Bridge in the future. Pepi has opened up on his liking of the Blues and has also revealed his desire to play in the Premier League one day.

“When I was young, I was a Chelsea fan. I was a Real Madrid supporter, but when I was young, our shirts always looked like Chelsea’s," he told Voetbal International.
“Our team was the lions and they have that in their logo, that’s why. But Real Madrid was it for me, because of the club and Ronaldo.”
He added: “Ultimately, I think every player wants to play in the Premier League at some point. It is the best competition.
"Quite physical. Spain also seems nice to me, because in La Liga, most clubs, like PSV, rely on ball possession. It is something for later, I still have enough ambitions with PSV.”
In terms of transfers at Chelsea in January, all eyes are on Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman could join Bayern Munich before the February 3 deadline with Mathys Tel the subject of interest for Chelsea going the other way.
There is also a focus on the backline with Chelsea still discussing the recall of Trevoh Chalobah and purchase of Marc Guehi. Renato Veiga is one who could be on the way out, although matters have been complicated by uncertainty over what sort of deal he would prefer.
