Chelsea hold an interest in Manchester United midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, but that is it at the moment, football.london understands.

The 19-year-old midfielder is being linked with a move away from Old Trafford with United said to be under pressure to sell their academy products to comply with financial rules. Alejandro Garnacho is another player United are reportedly open to selling to abide with the Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

Multiple sources have told football.london that Mainoo is someone Chelsea are keeping an eye on, with a long-standing interest in the England international. However, that is it; there has been no contact between the Blues and the player, or United, about a possible move.

As it stands, Chelsea have Enzo Fernandez, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia as their three main central midfield options. Cesare Casadei, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Carney Chukwuemeka can also play there but all three have been strongly linked with moves away from Stamford Bridge this month.

Casadei has multiple suitors from Italy, with a battle going on right now over the 21-year-old's signature. Napoli, football.london understands, are the latest club to try and hijack a move for the Italy Under-21 international.

Meanwhile, Dewsbury-Hall continues to be linked with a move away in the January transfer window. The 26-year-old could leave the Blues on loan with West Ham United understood to be one of the multiple clubs with an interest in the former Leicester City midfielder's situation.

Chukwuemeka is in a similar situation. There are several interested parties in the 21-year-old. Chelsea are open to allowing the midfielder to leave either on loan or on a permanent basis. However, if he was to go for good, then the Blues would accept no less than his £40million release clause.
