Chelsea appear primed for a very active end to the January transfer window with several exits and new signings being discussed. The return of Trevoh Chalobah is the only major announcement to have arrived thus far, but plenty more could be on the horizon.

Christopher Nkunku, Joao Felix and Axel Disasi are among the senior stars linked to mid-season departures, while Mathys Tel, Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens have become concrete targets for Enzo Maresca as the Blues look to sign a new winger.

Huge updates on two of those six names have recently come to light, which could see Chelsea spring into action. With that being said, football.london has taken a look at the latest Blues transfer rumours, news and updates.

Nkunku personal terms agreed

According to Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg, Nkunku and Bayern Munich have agreed personal terms over a January switch. However, the two clubs are yet to reach an agreement on a loan fee or the potential price for a permanent move.

football.london says: Unless Chelsea can sell for upwards of £60million, there is no real point in entertaining an exit for Nkunku. Parting ways with such a talented player, regardless of his form, in the middle of a hectic season is rather pointless unless a suitable replacement has already been lined up.

It is clear that the France international is unhappy with his current position in the Chelsea squad, but it is hard to justify giving him more minutes with Cole Palmer occupying his favoured role. Joao Felix is also quite clearly ahead of him in the pecking order, and if Palmer is not risked against Wolves, it will almost certainly be Felix that starts.

That knee injury suffered during his first pre-season has completely derailed his Chelsea career, and it does look as though there is obviously no way back. Thankfully, his stock is still quite high, especially in Germany, which may make it easier to recoup a similar fee paid for his services back in the summer of 2023.

Napoli submit Garnacho bid

One potential attacking option to replace Nkunku if he leaves is Manchester United's Garnacho. football.london understands he has been identified as a player of interest with the same treatment given to Mathys Tel and Jamie Gittens

However, there looks to be some stiff competition for his services with Napoli on the hunt for a Khvicha Kvaratskhelia replacement. Antonio Conte's side have already seen one bid rejected and according to Tuttosport, they have now launched a second offer worth £46.5million (€55m).

football.london says: Of the three wingers Chelsea could sign, Garnacho is arguably the worst option for a number of reasons. Firstly, it is almost guaranteed that United will up their asking price when contacted by a direct Premier League rival especially after the Mason Mount saga 18 months ago.

The 20-year-old has also seen his attitude questioned and deals for the other two stars could be far more achievable given Dortmund are a selling club at the right price and Tel is struggling for consistent minutes at Bayern.

Given the type of profile he is, Garnacho could certainly thrive in Italy and there should be no reason for Chelsea to try and hijack their planned move for him.
