Chelsea starlet 'summoned' for transfer talks with Mauricio Pochettino after teasing summer exit
Chelsea's rising star Omari Hutchinson has been 'summoned' to Cobham for a sit-down with Mauricio Pochettino after hinting at a potential summer departure, according to reports.
The 20-year-old winger, fresh from his pivotal role in Ipswich Town's promotion-winning campaign, has sparked speculation about his future following comments made on the last day of the Championship season.
Hutchinson, when quizzed on whether he'd don the Ipswich shirt again next term, admitted: "I hope so. I don't know, we will see what the manager is saying and my agent. Right now, I am going to celebrate - I do not know what to do."
The talented youngster was instrumental in Ipswich's return to the Premier League after a 22-year absence, scoring in their decisive 2-0 victory over Huddersfield Town. Despite starting less than half of Ipswich's matches, Hutchinson's impressive tally of 10 goals and five assists has caught the eye.
With the ability to operate both out wide and as an attacking midfielder, Hutchinson's performances have undoubtedly reminded Chelsea of the high-calibre talent progressing through their ranks.
Reports from The Athletic indicate that Hutchinson is set to report back to Cobham for training and discussions with Pochettino, who is keen to assess the young forward following his successful stint of first-team football, as echoed by the Express.
Despite his surprising remarks following Ipswich's promotion confirmation, it's reported that Hutchinson is still undecided about the best place for his development in the 2024/25 season.

While a loan move is certainly on the cards, a permanent sale could bolster Chelsea's finances, especially considering they signed him for free from Arsenal's academy in 2022.
Several Premier League clubs are said to have reached out to Chelsea regarding Hutchinson's availability. The Surrey-born starlet is nearing the end of his contract at Stamford Bridge, although there's potential for a 12-month extension.
Before his loan spell last summer, Hutchinson had only played two club-level games, but he managed to rack up 50 appearances across all competitions during his time away.
Reports suggest that Chelsea plan to include Hutchinson in their pre-season tour of the United States in July. However, with players like Raheem Sterling, Cole Palmer, Mykhaylo Mudryk and Noni Madueke vying for playing time in attacking positions, his chances of breaking into the first team once the competitive season begins could be slim.
