Chelsea transfer latest amid major Randal Kolo Muani update as Blues' January plans revealed
Chelsea are not planning to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani in next month's mid-season transfer window, football.london understands.
Reports in France on Sunday broke claiming the Blues were pursuing a move for the 26-year-old but sources have said that such speculation is wide of the mark. While Chelsea are obviously aware of Kolo Muani as a player and his current situation, there is no chance of a move in January.
In fact, football.london understands Chelsea are happy with their current squad and want minimal disruption to it next month, so activity on the incoming front is expected to be very little. Chelsea can move up to second-place in the Premier League table should they beat Ipswich Town later on today (Monday) at Portman Road.

The Blues have made an excellent start to the 2024/25 season under head coach Enzo Maresca but are looking to put things right after an agonising defeat to Fulham on Boxing Day. Ironically, Chelsea will be coming up against Liam Delap later on - someone they do indeed have an interest in.
While the club are long-term admirers of the 21-year-old striker, who has been excellent for the Tractor Boys in their first season back in the Premier League in more than 20 years, a move next month is deemed very unlikely at this stage. Chelsea have Nicolas Jackson, Christopher Nkunku and Marc Guiu as their central striker options at the moment.
Jackson has made a very promising start to the campaign, with the Senegal international bagging nine goals and three assists in 17 Premier League appearances. Nkunku, meanwhile, has been used mostly in other competitions and has scored 12 goals in the process.
Guiu has been in wonderful form when he has featured recently. The 18-year-old Spaniard has scored five goals in his last two UEFA Conference League matches, including a wonderful hat-trick against Shamrock Rovers earlier in the month.
