Aston Villa travel to Chelsea in the Premier League on Sunday looking for their first win in eight games and hoping to breathe life back into their stuttering campaign.

They do so on the back of a 0-0 Champions League draw with Juventus, which saw a late Morgan Rogers ‘goal’ ruled out for a foul. Indeed Unai Emery’s men haven’t won in the top flight since October 19 when they won at Fulham.

Meanwhile Chelsea are unbeaten in five and on Thursday beat Heidenheim in the Europa Conference League. As things stand Enzo Maresca’s fifth placed Blues are three points and four spots ahead of Villa.

Here’s what you need to know about the game.

When is Chelsea vs Villa?

The match is at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, December 1. It kicks off at 1.30pm.

Is the game on TV?

The match is being broadcast live by Sky Sports. Subscribers can find the game on Sky Sports Premier League, with the programme starting at 1pm.

What’s been said?

Maresca could reverse the ten changes he made in the ECL – but promised his fringe players like Jadon Sancho and Filip Jorgensen their time will come.

“"They (the players) are ready and it's important. Filip did a very good game, Christo (Nkunku) the same. We have nine or 10 games in December so they are going to get more chances. They need to be ready."

Emery insists he is not concerned by Villa’s stumble: “I am happy [with] how we are doing this season. Our demands increase progressively and we are being very demanding in every position we are facing, but we have to try to keep balance.

“Now, we are going to face Chelsea. Of course, difficult, of course, those three points will be very important, how we can set again our position in the table.”
