Chelsea FC XI vs Wolves: Starting lineup, latest team news, injury and Covid latest for Premier League today
Chelsea have a squad of just 17 players for today’s Premier League clash with Wolves due to a combination of Covid-19 and injury issues.
The Blues saw a request to postpone Sunday’s match at Molineux rejected and have only been able to name six substitutes in the West Midlands, including two goalkeepers.
Jorginho, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Kai Havertz are all out, with the former pair suffering knocks in Thursday’s 1-1 draw with Everton.
The Blues are also without Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Callum Hudson-Odoi, who are isolating after positive Covid tests. Ben Chilwell has also tested positive, but is sidelined long-term with knee ligament damage.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is so short of options that he starts N’Golo Kante and has Mateo Kovacic on the bench, despite both players only just returning from injury.
Andreas Christensen is sidelined through injury, while Trevoh Chalobah lines up in central midfield.
