Chido Obi-Martin has already been proven right on Arsenal transfer decision after Man Utd moment
Chido Obi-Martin has been the talk of the town since leaving Arsenal to join Manchester United in the summer. And that talk only heightened on Sunday when he was named in the United first team squad for their Premier League match with Tottenham Hotspur.
Obi-Martin was a prolific scorer for Arsenal 's Under-18s last season, scoring 32 goals in 18 appearances, including an astonishing seven-goal haul against Norwich City in a 9-0 win.
The striker was highly regarded at Arsenal and the Gunners were keen to tie him down to a long-term contract upon his 17th birthday. However, the club and the player could not agree on terms and he left in the summer to join United instead.

His form has continued for the Red Devils, with 12 goals in nine Under-18s Premier League and FA Youth Cup matches combined, which included a hat-trick against Chelsea in the Youth Cup just last week.
That prompted Ruben Amorim to call him up to the first-team squad for the game with Spurs on Sunday - that and the fact that Amorim had few other options, with injury and illness rife in the United camp in the build up to the game.
There were plenty of questions over why Obi-Martin, who has now changed his name to be known as just Chido Obi, decided to leave Arsenal in the summer, with the Gunners keen to keep hold of a prized asset.
According to the Telegraph, as well as United making a better financial offer to Obi-Martin, there was a footballing reason for the switch too, with it understood that he and his advisors had concerns over his pathway to first-team action at the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal were reportedly ready to let the forward make the step up from Under-18s to Under-21s this season, with the 17-year-old desperate to push even higher quicker than that. And, although it may well have been the case at Arsenal, given their injuries to forward players too, Obi-Martin has been proven right on his switch already given his three-minute cameo against Spurs on Sunday.
