Popular TV figure and ex-footballer Chris Kamara has revealed he will return to reporting on Boxing Day by covering Tottenham Hotspur 's impending visit to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.

Amazon Prime Video are covering the festive fixtures, and Kamara seems set to be at the City Ground that afternoon as part of their Every Game, Every Goal show. Jeff Stelling will host that programme, with Kamara keeping his long-time Sky Sports colleague up-to-date with all the action from Forest vs Spurs.

The former Brentford midfielder left Sky, after 24 years, in the summer of 2022 - with Stelling then departing 12 months later following over 30 years there. They worked together on Soccer Saturday for several years and will reprise their roles from that show again on Boxing Day afternoon.

"Best phone call ever this afternoon," Kamara posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday. "Inviting me to do the Forest vs Spurs game on Boxing Day, reporting back to the Unbelievable Jeff Stelling in the studio.

"I thought I was done, so it's a big thank you to Amazon Prime Video Sport. I'm back!"

Stelling replied to Kamara minutes later: "And I'm looking forward to it as much as you mate. There's a goal at the City Ground, but for who, Chris Kamara? ..... "

The veteran and much-loved broadcaster refers to the infamous moment over 14-years-ago when Stelling went to Kamara for an update on who had been sent off in the game he was covering, only for the reporter to have missed that red card. Kamara acknowledging that he thought his time reporting was over comes after the broadcaster was diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder apraxia of speech (AOS) - which affects a person's ability to speak.

Forest vs Tottenham is among eight games inked-in for an action-packed Boxing Day schedule.
