Chris Kamara sends fresh message ahead of new role following heartbreaking diagnosis
Chris Kamara has sent a message ahead of his return to football punditry following his heartbreaking diagnosis. The Sky Sports icon will return to screens on Boxing Day when Tottenham Hotspur travel to the City Ground to face Nottingham Forest.
Kamara will be apart of the Amazon Prime football coverage and reporting to another Soccer Saturday hero in Jeff Stelling, who will be spearheading their coverage of the 3pm kick-offs.
The 66-year-old was forced to step away from television screens after 24 years in 2022 when he was diagnosed with the speech condition, apraxia - motor disorder caused by damage to the brain, which causes difficulty with motor planning to perform tasks or movements.

In a post on Amazon Prime Video Sport's X account, Kamara issued a heartwarming message, he said: "Hi everyone, for those of you who missed the news last week, I'm delighted to be joining Prime's Boxing Day coverage which includes eight games and over 10 hours of action.
"I'll be at the City Ground for Forest v Spurs, reporting back to my old mate the unbelievable Jeff Stelling who will have every game and every goal. I'm so excited to be back and can't wait to be doing what I love most."
In an interview with the BBC last week, he said: "I've been invited back to do a job I used to love, so you can't say no. I asked him was he sure, because I'm not the person I used to be.
"He said, 'you're perfect for us and you'll be reporting back to Jeff'."
