Chris Sutton and Paul Merson agree on Man City vs Man United as blunt Ruben Amorim stat emerges
Manchester City host Manchester United in Sunday's derby with both teams looking for a much-needed result.
City have won just one of their last 10 matches after suffering a 2-0 defeat at Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday. The reigning Premier League champions are already eight points off league leaders Liverpool, who also have a game in hand.
United meanwhile have lost their last two league fixtures with a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal followed by last weekend's 3-2 defeat to Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford. Ruben Amorim's side will have been somewhat boosted though by Thursday's come from behind win over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League.

And pundits Chris Sutton and Paul Merson have offered their predicitons for this weekend's Manchester derby. Both of them agree that City will come out on top.
Chris Sutton
"The wheels have really come off at Manchester City now - who saw that coming?" He told BBC Sport.
"City just cannot keep a clean sheet - they have managed one in their past 10 games - and now their manager Pep Guardiola is talking about being tired. I know it was in the context of him not having enough energy to go to another club and starting again there, but it must have sent a message to his current players too.
"You never know with Pep, and he may have just been being sarcastic, but if he really is tired then does he have the energy required to turn City around? That would be a worry for City, with the run they are on.
"Meanwhile, at Manchester United, new manager Ruben Amorim is barely through the door and the club's owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is telling everyone they are 'mediocre'. Amorim beat City 4-1 in his final game in charge of Sporting before he came to Old Trafford which got United fans very excited, but they have soon realised whenever they have played anyone half-decent that they are the same team that were struggling under Erik ten Hag.
"Basically, both teams have been really bad, so what on earth do I go for here? In the recent past I have always gone with City in Manchester derbies and, while Amorim beat them with Sporting, you have to remember City could have been a few goals up by half-time in that game.
"So, I am going to go with City to win at home and maybe rejuvenate Pep before Christmas. Speaking of stats, I have got a good one for you - United never lost three league games in a row in more than two years under Ten Hag, but Amorim will manage that in less than a month if he is beaten here."
Prediction: Man City 3-1 Man United
Paul Merson
"Over the last few years, it hasn't been Man City's biggest game. No disrespect to Man Utd, but when they've played Arsenal or Liverpool, those have been their biggest matches," he told Sky Sports.
"But this weekend, this is their biggest football match. This is a huge cup final. Man Utd kept Arsenal very quiet at the Emirates a few weeks ago. If they can do that this weekend, I think they've got a chance. I'd go [Marcus] Rashford, Amad [Diallo] and [Alejandro] Garnacho up front and play pace, skill and guile.
"There's not a lot of strength between those three, but they have the pace on the counter-attack to cause Man City major problems. If it goes that way, I can see Man City having a difficult day. But I never go against Man City, even on this run. They've got too many good players."
Prediction: Man City 2-1 Man United
