A SECOND York City player has extended their loan deal elsewhere today.

Leone Gravata, who is currently on loan at National League South side Chippenham Town, has joined Olly Dyson in agreeing terms to extend their loan deal elsewhere until the end of the season.

The winger initially joined Chippenham in September on a deal that would run until January, with Gravata set to remain in Wiltshire until the end of the 2024/25 season.

Gravata has so far made 14 appearances for Town in the sixth tier, which includes four goals.

Of those strikes, a crucial 81st minute effort earned an important three points for Chippenham in a 1-0 win against Aveley, that aided the visitors in their push further away from the relegation zone.

Chippenham currently occupy 16th position in the National League South, having accumulated 31 points from the opening 24 matches.

Gravata was York manager Adam Hinshelwood's first signing as City boss, joining the club in March from Eastbourne Borough.

The 23-year-old had been a key member of that Eastbourne squad but has so far found his time with York difficult, managing just one league appearance in almost 10 months.

That involvement came in a 0-0 draw against Kidderminster Harriers last campaign, which was also Hinshelwood's first point in charge of the Minstermen.
