It's clear Mikel Arteta doesn't trust one Arsenal player - I don't think we'll see him much again
Ex-Arsenal player Jermaine Pennant has admitted that he feels Mikel Arteta has no confidence in one of his own signings.
The Gunners have had a good start to the season. They sit third in the table and are heavily involved in the battle for the Premier League title.
Chelsea sit two points above them in second with Liverpool holding the top spot with a six point gap to Arsenal and a game in hand.

Last season, Gunners manager, Arteta, came excruciatingly close to getting his hands on that trophy. They were beaten to it by Manchester City with only two points separating the pair. Heading into this season, the Spaniard made some big signings to further the talent of his squad.
One player who moved to the Emirates Stadium was Raheem Sterling. On a season-long loan from Chelsea, the England international wasn't just brought in for his talent and skill; he also knew what it took to win the Premier League.
However, Pennant believes that Sterling doesn't have the full-backing from his manager.
He told Instant Casino: "It's clear to me that Mikel Arteta doesn't trust Raheem Sterling.
"Against Everton they needed some spark to open the door and he was left on the substitutes bench.
"He's getting overlook for younger talent. There's a great player in there, but he isn't getting any younger.
"I wouldn't go as far as to say that he will get his contract terminated because of respect and the service he has given in the Premier League, but I don't think he will be seen in an Arsenal shirt too often again."
There could have been a chance for Sterling to prove himself, from this point onwards, after it was confirmed that Bukayo Saka would be out for over a month. However, the 30-year-old himself has picked up an injury so won't be able to cover for his younger teammate.
Pennant isn't the only former Gunners player to speak out on the signing of Sterling, either Arsenal icon Ian Wright thinks the signing hasn't worked and 'he doesn't know why'.
