Coach scoops national award for coaching all-disabled group
A coach who has managed an all-female disability cricket group in Fareham has won big at a national award show.
Lucy Tillotson scooped the Inspired to Play award at the 2024 Cricket Collective Awards, which is a ceremony organised by the England and Wales Cricket Board which celebrates volunteers in the sport.
Lucy has managed an all-female disability group known as the Adders for the past few years, and under her leadership the group now has regular sessions.
Participants travel across Hampshire to be involved, and Lucy was first nominated by a county board before an expert panel voted for the national winners.

The Inspired to Play award itself recognises individuals and organisations that go above and beyond to open the game up to new audiences.
Lucy also works in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school, providing cricket sessions to students as the school's team made the final Hampshire’s SEN competition.
Hampshire Cricket Board’s Disability Cricket Officer, Michael Powell, said: “This award is thoroughly deserved.
“Lucy's passion for cricket as a sport is clear for all to see, this award is recognition of her drive to open up the sport, showing cricket can truly be a game for everyone."
