Coach urges Warren Gatland to select rising half-back pairing as 'awesome' talent praised
Ospreys head coach Mark Jones has tipped in-form half-backs Reuben Morgan-Williams and Dan Edwards for a place in Wales' Six Nations squad.
Scrum-half Morgan-Williams has been playing well for the past couple of seasons and got the better of Wales squad member Ellis Bevan during the Ospreys' 13-13 draw with Cardiff on New Year's Day. But Jones believes both Morgan-Williams and Edwards are good enough to be included when Warren Gatland names his Six Nations squad on Monday.
"They should be under consideration, definitely," said the former Wales wing. "I think they probably are under consideration if I'm honest.

"If you look at their performances, not just over this season. Reuben was very, very, very good for us last season in all competitions.
"His durability considering he's probably played more of a supporting role with the likes of Rhys Webb around the environment in the past. Sometimes the challenge for a player who is supporting the majority of the time is actually being given the opportunity to lead.
"They don't always grasp it but he's done an incredible job of grasping that. He's been awesome since I've been at the club and he's done a really good job.
"I wouldn't at all be surprised if he was named in the squad. We are very lucky here to have a lot of good nines.
"Kieran (Hardy) was brought in here to give us depth. We know that Luke Davies is going to be a very, very good player and he's developing all the time so we are very happy with our nines."
There has also been a public clamour for Gatland to include 21-year-old outside-half Edwards in his squad. The Ospreys playmaker has gone from strength to strength over the past 18 months but faces stiff competition for a place in the squad from the likes of Sam Costelow, Gareth Anscombe and Ben Thomas.
Edwards is a triple-threat player with a good kicking and attacking game, while game management is also a strength of his. "With Dan we saw moments of it last year with the drop kick against Ulster and his ability to beat a player," said Jones.
"This year he's really grasped it again. He's become quite a dominant game manager which obviously at international level is such a bigger ask.
"He's shown he can do that, he's very mature and understands that whilst he's a flair player he can actually do the nuts and bolts and manage the game as well."
