Colchester United's game against Port Vale is postponed
COLCHESTER United's home game with Port Vale has been postponed.
The League Two game was due to be played at the JobServe Community Stadium tonight but after a pitch inspection took place this afternoon, the game was called off.
There were initial concerns regarding the playing surface and a pitch inspection was requested.
And after a match official inspected the surface it was deemed unplayable, so the decision was made to postpone the match.

Colchester say tickets for the original fixture will remain valid for the rearranged game and that details for a rearranged fixture will be released in due course.
Colchester's next League Two game is now their trip to play Tranmere Rovers, on Saturday.
