Cole Palmer has been Chelsea's most productive attacking asset, once again, this campaign. The 22-year-old, who enjoyed a superb debut season after arriving from Manchester City last summer, has scored 14 goals and added six assists in 21 Premier League appearances so far this term.

He continued his fine form by scoring the opener during Chelsea's 2-2 draw vs Bournemouth on Tuesday night. It means that Palmer has netted in three of his last four matches. However, concerns have now arisen over Palmer's fitness after he appeared to take a knock to his ankle against the Cherries.

Palmer required treatment after falling awkwardly in one challenge, but he was able to continue and play for the entire 90 minutes - plus stoppage-time. As Chelsea aren't in action against Wolves until Monday night, Palmer has the whole weekend to recover in time, even if Enzo Maresca appeared a bit concerned.

What has been said about Cole Palmer's injury?

Speaking during his pre-match press conference, Maresca revealed that Palmer missed Friday's training session, while his availability to feature at Stamford Bridge is therefore in doubt.

"Cole is a doubt, he was not in the session today," the Chelsea boss said when delivering their latest team news news. "Levi [Colwill] was not in the session, Romeo [Lavia] and Enzo [Fernandez] were not involved.

"Cole didn't train today, we don't know if he will train in the two days." On finding ways to win - without Palmer - he added: "We rely on Cole because he's a big player. We prefer to play with Cole but in case he has an injury or a problem, then we will find a solution."

Will Cole Palmer be fit to face Wolves in Game Week 22?

Fantasy Premier League have given Palmer a 75 per cent chance of playing with a "knock" listed as his injury status. However, with his ability to finish the game against Bournemouth, after going down in the first half, it appears that the England international might have avoided any serious damage.

It's unclear whether Palmer, who has 163 FPL points to his name so far this season, will be fit against Wolves at this stage. There should be more indication over the weekend, however, which could be quite unhelpful to managers if it comes after the 11am deadline on Saturday morning.
