Cole Palmer market value exceeds £100m as Chelsea handed major transfer boost
Enzo Maresca will be looking to streamline his squad in January - and he will be happy to see the value of his players has shot up following their incredible start to the season.
If Chelsea manage to beat Ipswich at Portman Road tonight (December 30th 7:45pm), they will retake second position in the Premier League table. Although Maresca daren't say that his team are title contenders, football fans will certainly say they are.
The squads Premier League performances, alongside their domination in the Conference League, has helped increase the players' market values according to transfermarkt. The new valuation that stands out is Cole Palmer.

The England International who signed for Chelsea from Man City for £42.5million has become one of the top players in the Premier League. In just over a year, his market value has risen to £107m, making him one of the most expensive players in the world.
Another forward whose value has shot up is Nicolas Jackson. Chelsea fans will admit that last year, they feared their Senegalese forward wasn't living up to the hype.
That's all changed this season. Jackson has picked up nine goals so far and has improved his all round game with a £12m increase in value, taking it to £45m.
There is one star player who has seen a dramatic fall in market value - Christopher Nkunku. This is not saying that the Frenchman is a bad player, in fact his stats are good with 12 goals from 26 appearances this season.
However, the majority of these goals have come in competitions like the Conference League or EFL Cup - the games where Maresca has rotated his team. The last time he started a Premier League game was December 4th. Because of this, his market value has dropped by £12.4m. He is still worth an impressive £41m though.
Ben Chilwell has seen his price drop. Although expected, it isn't what Chelsea want to hear with the club likely to let go of their defender in January. Captain Reece James has also dropped in price - around £4m - likely due to a series of injuries.
Other players who saw market value increases include Moises Caicedo, Noni Madueke, Levi Colwill amongst others.
