Despite Chelsea's form not being the best in recent weeks, EA Sports has given the Blues' squad a handful of upgrades in the latest EA FC 25 squad update.

Since late December, Chelsea haven't been at their best, with the Blues winning two of their last eight Premier League games while also being knocked out of the FA Cup in the fourth round. Now, Enzo Maresca's side will be looking to secure a top-four finish and the Conference League until the end of the season, but weirdly, despite Chelsea struggling of late, EA Sports has opted to reward some of the Blues' squad with EA FC 25 upgrades.

Cole Palmer was handed a huge +19 upgrade to his rating when EA FC 25 was released in September last year, but it seems that despite one of the biggest upgrades ever, Palmer was still too low, with EA giving him another upgrade in the February squad update. Other players such as Romeo Lavia, Enzo Fernandez, and Pedro Neto have also received upgrades, with the squad update now live in EA FC 25.

Chelsea's updated EA FC 25 player ratings

Palmer has been upgraded for the third time in EA FC 25, with the attacking midfielder's rating jumping from 87 to 88 overall, a big upgrade on the 85 rating he started EA FC 25 with. The Englishman has also had some stat boosts, including +1 Short Passing (87), +1 Dribbling (89), +1 Long Passing (86), +3 Reactions (90), +1 Balance (81), +2 Stamina (81) and +1 Vision (89).

He's also gained the Long Ball Pass PlayStyle along with the Incisive Pass PlayStyle Plus, meaning EA judges Palmer to be one of the best in the world at through balls.

Another player that has improved since release is Lavia, with the midfielder now 78 rated – three ratings higher than when the game was released. Lavia's stats have also been updated, with the Belgian receiving +1 Long Passing(76), +2 Reactions (77), +4 Interceptions (79), +10 Positioning (60), +1 Vision (76), +1 Slide Tackle (76), and -1 Jumping (78).

Enzo's Crossing (75) and Finishing (68) were given small increases while Neto received bumps to his Jumping (74) and Strength (65), and Nicolas Jackson was awarded the Trivela PlayStyle, showcasing the striker's ability to use the outside of his foot when using the ball.

Some players did lose PlayStyles though in the latest update, with Levi Colwill losing Aerial, Tyrique George losing Power Shot, and Malo Gusto losing Block.
