Community comes together to bring Christmas spirit to Penryn Rugby Club
Plenty of festive cheer filled the air at Penryn Rugby Club recently as more than 100 young players celebrated a much-loved annual tradition.
The club's youth section gathered for the anticipated switching on of their Christmas lights, made possible thanks to the involvement and support of the local community and businesses.
Organised by Adam Doney, the evening was full of community spirit.
Santa himself made an appearance, handing out selection boxes to the excited youngsters.
A huge Christmas tree, generously donated by Falbrook House Farm, stood proudly with its base crafted by River Fal Fabrications with steel donated by Metal Craft Cornwall and DP Industrial Services.
Food was made possible by the kind donations of Pips Pasties and Daphne Machuish.
This year’s event was supported by the generosity of Seaborne Fish and Black Rock Fire, with Mandy Head's tireless help also contributing to the magic, even providing the Santa suit.
