'Confident' Erling Haaland happy with Man City position on 115 charges
Erling Haaland did not think about the Premier League charges facing Manchester City when he signed his new ten-year deal because he is confident that the club 'know what they're doing'.
Haaland is one of the biggest superstars in the game and has signed one of the biggest ever deals, penning a nine-and-a-half year contract to tie him to the club until 2034. Having arrived from Dortmund in 2022, it would mean 12 years at the Etihad if he sees that out.
As Premier League defenders take a deep breath, the league are waiting for the outcome of the serious accusations levelled against the champions. If City are found guilty of the more serious allegations, they could face a mammoth points deduction or expulsion from the competition.

The club have insisted from the start that they have not done anything wrong, and that confidence has been internal as well as external to the extent that Haaland felt reassured enough to commit the prime years of his career to the Blues.
"I haven’t thought of that or anything. I’m confident that the club know what they’re doing. I shouldn’t speak too much about it, I’ve been there for two and a half years."
Haaland may face a hostile reception when he steps out for City in Paris after a fake social media post whipped up the locals five years ago when he played for Dortmund. PSG enjoyed knocking Haaland's Dortmund out of the Champions League then but the Blues can land another blow to PSG hopes of qualifying for the knockouts this season as they look to confirm their own spot.
"It was a big game for them but I don’t feel revenge," said Haaland. "To be honest what happened in the past happened in the past. It’s going to be a great game."
