CONFIRMED: The players joining Luke Littler in this year's Premier League Darts
THE players who will join newly-crowned world darts champion Luke Littler in this year's PDC Premier League Darts can now be revealed.
Warrington's teenage sensation will be defending the Premier League title he won in his first year on darts' arena roadshow and will do so having just scooped his first world title.
He will be joined by seven of the world's top players, including Michael Van Gerwen - the man he beat in the Alexandra Palace final on Friday - and world number one Luke Humphries, whom he bested to lift the Premier League trophy at London's 02 Arena last May.
Rob Cross completes the automatic qualifiers from the PDC Order of Merit top four alongside Humphries, Littler and Van Gerwen.
Nathan Aspinall and Gerwyn Price are back having competed in last year's Premier League and they are joined by beaten World Darts Championship semi-finalists Stephen Bunting and Chris Dobey.
It means six of the eight players who competed in 2024 are back again this year, with Bunting and Dobey replacing Michael Smith and Peter Wright.
This year's tournament gets underway in Belfast on February 6, with action on a weekly basis every Thursday night until Finals Night in London on May 29.

2025 BetMGM Premier League Darts format and dates
Matches are played in a best-of-11 legs format and, like last year, players will battle it out for individual "nightly wins" on each date in a knockout format through quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals.
Points will be allocated depending on progress made through each night to form an overall league table across the 16 weekly rounds across the major cities in the UK and Ireland as well as dates in Berlin and Rotterdam, with the top four progressing to Finals Night in London.
There, first will play fourth and second will face third - the players who finish higher in the table will throw first - and the semi-final winners will then face off to decide the fate of the trophy.
All 17 nights of Premier League action will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.
