Liverpool will be without Conor Bradley for this weekend's crunch Premier League showdown with Manchester City. The Northern Ireland star was forced off injured during Wednesday night's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.

Bradley was a second half substitute and had to be withdrawn in the 89th minute with a muscle injury. He missed six weeks earlier this season when suffering a hamstring problem in the Champions League win over Real Madrid at Anfield.

The Co Tyrone native is being assessed by Liverpool's medical team, but Slot does not believe the 21-year-old will return for Sunday's clash with City, or next week's game against Newcastle United.

The head coach said: "It is difficult but he felt a bit when he made a sprint. He tried to continue but had to go out.

"All the time with injuries, I always say if a player wants to go out himself, that's not a promising sign. It will probably lead to the fact he is probably 99.9 per cent not available for City and I don't expect him against Newcastle as well.

"Then we have to see if it’s one or two weeks or if it's going to be even longer."
