'We could have been more comfortable': Blackpool boss assess victory over Reading
Blackpool boss Steve Bruce felt his side could have been 'more comfortable' than their already-deserved 3-0 victory over Reading on Saturday.
The EFL veteran brought his Tangerines side to Berkshire looking to make it three successive away victories, and they did just that was a commanding performance over Noel Hunt's Royals.
Albie Morgan, Rob Apter and Ashley Fletcher did the damage while goalkeeper Joel Pereira made four or five saves to deny further goals for the visitors.
Giving his verdict after the win, Bruce admitted that it could have even better for the Tangerines than the three-goal margin.
🗣️ "We looked a very good side again today. We're pleased."

"We played very very well today and made great decisions, won the duals and took our chances. We could have been a bit more comfortable but all-round it was another good performance.
"It’s never going to be easy- they’d lost once at home and are in the top six so they’re going well. A new manager and a bounce, we were wary of it but I thought some of our football and with our work on the break, we looked a very good side again which was good to see."
Reading boss Hunt, taking charge of his first home match since his permanent appointment last week, agreed.
"We go back and can analyse it all we want but ultimately, we weren’t good enough. I felt there were moments in the game- we had a really good chance before their goal. If you look at their goal, the lad is offside from the goal kick and its not given. We don’t win the ball off the knockdown and they get a shot from distance which goes in. on the day, we were a little bit slow and took too many touches at times, but they’re a young group.
"In the second half, we have to still believe in what we’re doing. I felt we went back in our shells. I wanted them to speed up the tempo."
