Coventry City team news as Frank Lampard makes four changes to face Plymouth Argyle
Frank Lampard has made four changes, including in goal, as his Coventry City side take on Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth Argyle in the Boxing Day fixture at the CBS Arena.
It comes as no great surprise that Brad Collins has been dropped to the bench and replaced by summer signing Oliver Dovin, while there’s still no sign of Ben Wilson who continues his return from a knee injury.
There are two changes to the back four from the dismal 4-1 defeat at Portsmouth last time out, with Joel Latibeaudiere coming in for Luis Binks to play to the left of Bobby Thomas at the heart of the defence, while Jake Bidwell comes in to replace Jay Dasilva at left-back. Milan van Ewijk continues at right-back.

The midfield sees the final change as Josh Eccles is restored to the middle of the park alongside Ben Sheaf, with Victor Torp dropping out. That leaves an attacking three of Tatsuhiro Sakamoto on the right wing, Ephron Mason-Clark on the left and Jack Rudoni continuing in the advanced midfield role behind lone striker Norman Bassette on a day when Ellis Simms and Brandon Thomas-Asante again provide back-up among the substitutes.
There is a surprise addition to the squad with summer signing Raphael Borges included in his first ever matchday 18, with Fabio Tavares the one to drop out.
