Crucial Hull City Championship fixture set to be moved after FA Cup result
Hull City's hugely important trip to fellow strugglers Cardiff City on February 8 will now not take place after the Bluebirds secured safe passage through in the FA Cup.
The South Wales outfit were 1-0 winners at promotion-chasing Sheffield United on Thursday night in one of the first ties of the third round thanks to a 19th-minute goal from Cian Ashford.
Just 6,126 fans watched two much-changed teams at Bramall Lane, but the victory for the away side means they will be in the hat on Sunday for the fourth round draw, with games set to take place over the weekend of February 8 and 9.

City's trip to the Welsh capital is now expected to take place during a midweek later in the season, which will present a logistical issue for many Tigers fans planning on making the original trip. The Tigers offered free transport for the game at the Cardiff City Stadium along with next Saturday's early kick-off at Millwall and the offer will remain for the rescheduled trip.
Fourteen coaches have already been filled for the trip to The Den, with Ruben Selles' side set to be backed by a bumper away following in Bermondsey and more have been made available.
The Tigers will hope to join Cardiff in the fourth round draw for the first time in five years by beating League Two side Doncaster Rovers when the pair meet at high noon on Sunday at the MKM Stadium. Should City exit the cup, then they'll have a rare weekend off.
