Crusaders blow as Kieran Offord recalled by St Mirren after successful loan spell at Seaview
Crusaders have suffered a major blow after St Mirren recalled striker Kieran Offord from his loan spell at Seaview.
The 20-year-old was a huge success during his spell with the Crues bagging 10 goals in 21 games.
Offord was a huge favourite with the Crusaders faithful with three of his goals coming against north Belfast rivals Cliftonville, including a brace in the Boxing Day win at Solitude.

Crusaders confirmed on Monday Offord's time on the Shore Road had come to an end as he heads back to the Scottish Premiership outfit.
"Crusaders FC can confirm that St Mirren FC have activated a recall option for Kieran Offord," a statement said. "The club would like to express our gratitude to Kieran for his contributions during his time with us. His efforts on and off the pitch have been greatly appreciated, and we wish him all the very best for the remainder of the season.
"We would also like to extend our thanks to St Mirren FC for facilitating the loan and for their cooperation throughout the process. Kieran departs with our best wishes for his future success."
Speaking earlier this month Crusaders boss Declan Caddell said he felt it would benefit the club and the player for him to stay in the Irish League.
"For me it’s a no-brainer that Kieran stays for the rest of the season," said Caddell. "He has been out on loan four times before and probably struggled for form, game time and it has never really worked for him, but this one has. At Kieran’s age it’s all about learning, development and playing as much as he can in a competitive league."
