Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner explained Jefferson Lerma was pulled off with sickness during Wednesday's win over Leicester.

The 30-year-old called for the doctors in the 20th minute when Jamie Vardy was played through on goal.

Cheick Doucoure came on and replaced the Colombian in midfield.

"He went off with sickness," Glasner revealed. Flu, stomach, maybe food. I don't know what it was, but he did not feel well.

"We had three players in the starting eleven (Jean-Philippe Mateta, Tyrick Mitchell and Eberechi Eze) who were ill for the last week."

Lerma faces a race to recover in time for Crystal Palace's London derby against West Ham on Saturday.
