Oliver Glasner is optimistic that Crystal Palace will complete two permanent transfers this month.

As revealed on Wednesday, the News Shopper understands El Hadji Malick Diouf is the club's leading target, while a wide attacker capable of playing as a ten is also targeted.

Although Glasner would not be drawn on names or specific profiles, the Eagles boss revealed his targets are set in stone, with the focus now on the execution.

“It’s clear, and we have a commitment that we want to sign two players — two different positions, Glasner shared.

"The profiles are clear. Players are fixed. Now, we just have to get the deals done.

“This is the job of the club, and I know they are working hard for it. It [would be] better to get them yesterday than tomorrow, but I also know that we are not the only ones who decide it.

"We can’t have a loan from the Premier League because we already have two. It will be two permanent signings.

"We have to strengthen our squad. We want to do some signings. We want to improve our squad and our performances. Therefore, we need competition in the squad and players pushing each other to the edge of what they can play. Then, we can be successful as a team.

"We are looking for players who fit into our system, into the way we are playing, from their character and their personality.

"It's also about fitting into the structure. We won't sign a 35-year-old player just to have an old player here. We have already found our targets, and now it’s just about getting the deals done."
