Daisy sign Heys defender Brown to boost their ranks
Daisy Hill have announced the signing of defender Regan Brown, who has joined the club from fellow North West Counties League side Prestwich Heys.
The new recruit has played eight times in the NWCFL Premier Division for Heys this season, most recently last Saturday as a substitute in the 3-0 win against Squires Gate.
And prior to his spell at Adie Moran Park he started the season at Irlam, where he made 10 appearances.
Brown is the second player to join Daisy from Heys in recent weeks, with central defender Nathan Bartram-Conway arriving at the Plumb Factory Stadium at the end of November.
Manager Lee Hill said: “We are happy to get this one over the line.
“We have been monitoring Regan for a while now, he is great young player and he will be a top addition to the team.
“He will fit in well, as he knows quite a few of the lads already, having played with them in the past.
“We are grateful once again to Prestwich Heys for their cooperation in letting us complete the signing quickly.”
Regan Brown added: “I’m really glad to be in with Daisy.
“Lee has made it clear with the goals that are set and I’m excited to get going and play my part as much as possible.
“Hopefully, we can finish the remainder of the season on a high.
“Already I’ve been made welcome, and it’s great to know a lot of the lads from previous seasons”.
Brown will be included in the Daisy squad for Saturday’s game at Droylsden in the North West Counties League First Division North.
