Daniel Farke set for January headache amid Leeds United's loanee conundrum
Daniel Farke and Leeds United have decisions to be made regarding the futures of more than one loan player.
The Whites are currently top of the Championship table having lost just three times so far this season. Their current unbeaten run stretches eight games in total.
But with the January transfer window now in full swing, key resolutions regarding loanees are needed at Elland Road.

Here, leedslive rounds up the latest news on what we know so far and how multiple situations could change before the January 31 deadline.
Jack Harrison
It is safe to say Harrison's loan spell at Everton has been less than convincing. The 28-year-old has played 19 matches for the Toffees so far this term but has yet to score a single goal.
According to news relayed earlier this month, Harrison is not in line for a return to Leeds in January, with there a minuscule chance his break clause could be called upon at Goodison Park.
That comes amongst information Everton are looking to line up a deal for Aston Villa's Jaden Philogene. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims Sean Dyche's side is exploring the possibility of signing the England Under-21 international on a permanent basis.
Sonny Perkins
Another loanee with plenty of intrigue is young forward Sonny Perkins, who continues to perform well for Leyton Orient. The 20-year-old seems to be benefitting from yet another spell in the EFL.
The Os are currently eighth in League One and Perkins has mustered 27 appearances thus far, scoring four goals whilst also laying on five assists. His season-long loan expires in the summer.
Perkins is out of contract at Elland Road and it remains to be seen what happens with the Waltham Forest-born star. Is he part of Farke's plans moving forward or is a move away from South Yorkshire beckoning?
Darko Gyabi
Darko Gyabi is making his mark in the Championship this season with Plymouth Argyle and is into his second stint at Home Park.
Making 25 appearances in total, Gyabi was seemingly trusted heavily by former boss Wayne Rooney and also made his debut for England Under-21s in November.
Gyabi's current deal expires in 2026 and it does look like he will see out the rest of the season on the south coast.
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood is flying once again this season having now netted seven goals for play-off-chasing Preston in his latest Championship loan spell.
The 22-year-old could not be guaranteed game time by Farke this season and as such, a move to Deepdale developed. Greenwood's contract expires in 2026 and we expect him to also see out his spell with Paul Heckingbottom's side.
"Yes, pleased for Sam because he’s a great human being," said Farke recently. "Obviously, also a player with lots of potential for him in this age, I think it’s important to play more or less, week in week out."
Rasmus Kristensen
Rasmus Kristensen is enjoying a season-long loan with Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt. An obligation to buy is available for the Dane and it does look like there is scope for that transfer to become permanent.
The 27-year-old has made 19 appearances in Germany this season, scoring two goals. He did miss a short period with a hamstring injury, but quickly recovered his place in the side.
“Rasmus has arrived very well with us. We are very happy that he is here with us. I also think he really enjoys being here," said Frankfurt chief Timmo Hardung last year.
“Of course, we are considering what role he could play at Eintracht Frankfurt in the future and whether he can become part of the team. But we haven’t decided anything yet.”
