Daniel Farke's 'not happy' verdict on Joel Piroe and what will happen next should worry rivals
Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has told Joel Piroe he wants 20 goals from him this season to help the club secure promotion to the Premier League. A goal and an assist from Piroe helped Leeds to a convincing 4-0 victory at Watford, a result that once again takes the Whites five points clear at the top of the Championship and eight points ahead of Burnley in third place.
It strengthens Leeds' grip on the race for promotion with the club have registered a sixth clean sheet as the goals continue to flow at the opposite end of the pitch. Tow goals from Daniel James took his tally in the league to 10 for the season, while Piroe registered his 14th of the Championship campaign.
Farke is delighted with the return of his lead man up top, but wants at least six goals more in the final 14 matches, with the message to his player and the team to ensure the former Swansea City man stays at the top of his game.

Farke explained: "He comes into good situations. Credit to the team for getting him in the positions to score. We have to make sure that he stays on it.
"He is the best finisher in the league and he deserves all the praise. I'm not happy with his goal tally so far if the season would end right now - I want him come closer to 20 goals and even more. If he can do that he can be pretty proud of himself. So far, so good."
Piroe has four goals in his last three Championship matches after scoring in three successive league games for the first time this season, it's a return that now has him just one goal behind Norwich's Borja Sainz in the race for the golden boot.
"We'll make sure he is on it for him to score four consecutive games for the first time this season!," added Farke, as Leeds prepare to return to action next Monday with a crucial game at home to promotion-chasing Sunderland.
