Danny Richardson's Hull KR exit confirmed as transfer details emerge
Danny Ricahrdson's move to Huddersfield Giants has been confirmed, with the Hull KR halfback heading out on a short-term loan. Richardson will start the season with the Giants after joining the club on a two-week loan deal, which starts with immediate effect.
It means he is heading to the Giants provisionally for one game. It has been confirmed that Richardson will not be available this weekend when the Giants play Hunslet in the Challenge Cup, to ensure he is not cup tied should Willie Peters require him in the cup action should they progress against York Knights on Friday.
That means Richardson is in line to make his debut a week on Sunday when Huddersfield host Warrington Wolves in the final game of Super League's opening round. There is scope for the loan to be extended if required.

With Mikey Lewis and Tyrone May set to line up in the halves for Rovers, Richardson's immediate first-team prospects at Craven Park are limited. However, Huddersfield need a playmaker with Adam Clune set to miss the start of the season with a calf injury. Their efforts to recruit had seen them hold discussions with Jacob Miller, though that didn't materialise.
But they have now secured Richardson on a short-term deal which will ease their injury concerns. Huddersfield are currently without the likes of Clune, Taane Milne, Sam Halsall, Liam Sutcliffe and George King for the Super League opener while Leroy Cudjoe still hasn't been cleared to return after a freak finger injury, though he is expected to feature next week. Huddersfield have been boosted by the returns of Tui Lolohea and Zac Woolford who are both due to play this weekend.
