Darts wonderkid Luke Littler has his sights set on buying a football club and already has a particular one in mind. The 18-year-old could follow in the footsteps of Hollywood owner Ryan Reynolds in the future.

However, he isn't planning on spending all of his cash and intends to start small with his local club Warrington Town. Littler has received more than £1.5million in prize money since bursting onto the scene at the end of 2023.

His prize money increased when he won the World Darts Championship last month. Promoting Specsavers' Best Worst Team campaign, he opened up about his future plans.

"It would be an investment for myself in the coming years," Littler said. "I’ve got a local team, Warrington Town, who are in National League North... Maybe that could be an idea for the future."

The avid Manchester United fan was spotted at Old Trafford during the club's 3-1 defeat to Brighton last month. He has also followed Warrington this season - his most recent apperance being a National League North clash against Hereford back in October.

Shortly after the 2-0 win, Littler took to his Instagram stories and shared the club's post. "First game and a win, up the Town," he wrote.

Littler's plans to help his local club has prompted a response from Chairman Tony Macormac, who claimed the 'door is always open' for him - whether as a follower or a potential investor.

"What Luke has done to put the town on the map in a way it’s never been before has been unbelievable and he’s an inspiration for so many," Marcormac said. "We know he takes keen interest in our fortunes and we were delighted to see him attend a recent home game against Hereford – and even more delighted that he saw us win!

"He's only early into his career and he's got a lot to focus on with that, but our door is always open to Luke in whatever capacity in which he wishes to get on board with our journey as we look to realise the potential we feel our club has."

The teenager suffered defeat on the opening night of the new Premier League darts season, losing out 6-5 in a dramatic quarterfinal clash with Michael van Gerwen.
