The end is nigh for Jürgen Klopp at Liverpool. As he prepares to bring the curtain down on his time at Anfield, there is plenty of speculation on the futures of some of the current members of his squad.

Darwin Núñez though could be set to stay put, despite recent rumors suggesting he could be heading out of the exit door. Meanwhile, there’s an update on Manchester City’s hearing into its 115 charges, with Liverpool just one of the clubs eagerly awaiting any kind of outcome from the Premier League’s investigation.

Here is your round-up of the latest Liverpool news.

'No talks' over Darwin Núñez future

Darwin Núñez’s future has been a big talking point recently. The Uruguay international hasn’t exactly looked too happy at Liverpool over the last week or so, especially after deleting every picture associated with the Reds from his Instagram account.

That has led to speculation that Barcelona could be eyeing up a move for him this summer. Fabrizio Romano though has insisted Núñez’s situation remains unchanged.

The transfer specialist has told GIVEMESPORT that there have been no negotiations between Núñez or any other club over a potential transfer. Romano puts the lack of talks down to the 24-year-old being too expensive.

With Núñez currently down the pecking order at Anfield, he faces a big summer as Arne Slot takes charge. The striker will have to work hard to put himself back into contention for next season.

Man City hearing could take place in 'next few months'

The hearing into Manchester City’s 115 charges for alleged breaches of financial rules could take place within the next few months, according to Sky News’ Rob Harris. Liverpool and other clubs have been waiting for any sort of outcome into the investigation into the Etihad club since the charges were first announced in February 2023.

City strongly deny any wrongdoing. Among the charges leveled against the club are failures to provide accurate financial information, failure to provide accurate details for player and manager payments, failure to comply with UEFA’s rules including Financial Fair Play, breaching the Premier League’s PSR rules, and failure to cooperate with Premier League investigations.
