Darwin Nunez starts for Liverpool as they go in search of a seventh straight Champions League victory this season when they host Lille at Anfield. Nunez struck two stoppage-time goals on Saturday to secure a 2-0 win at Brentford and his reward is a start against the Ligue 1 side as the Reds play their first European fixture since December 10.

Nunez is flanked by Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz as Cody Gakpo drops to the bench. Federico Chiesa and Harvey Elliott are also part of the substitutes at Anfield should Arne Slot need further firepower on the night.

Diaz has been preferred as the centre-forward in the absence of Diogo Jota of late by Slot but after his match-winning heroics in west London at the weekend, Nunez is handed the chance to build on the six goals he has provided so far this term for the Champions League and Premier League leaders. As a result, Gakpo drops out and Diaz shifts to the left side.

Kostas Tsimikas keeps his place at left-back with Andy Robertson named on the bench but there's a first start since November for Conor Bradley as he steps in for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is kept in reserve for Saturday's Premier League visit from Ipswich Town.

Bradley hasn't started a game for the Reds since the victory over Real Madrid on November 27, but returns in place of Alexander-Arnold this evening to give his more experienced colleague a rest ahead of another important league fixture this weekend. Jarell Quansah starts in place of Ibrahima Konate at centre-back.

Ryan Gravenberch keeps his place but Alexis Mac Allister drops out in place of Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai remains as the most advanced of the midfield trio.

Liverpool: Alisson; Bradley, Quansah, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Jones, Gravenberch; Salah, Szoboszlai, Diaz; Nunez.

Subs: Kelleher, Jaros, Endo, Konate, Mac Allister, Chiesa, Gakpo, Elliott, Robertson, Alexander-Arnold, Danns, Morton.
