David Beckham shows Luke Littler his true colours as Manchester United icon delivers a gift to darts hero
Luke Littler has got that follow from David Beckham on Instagram that the darts sensation craved.
The Nuke jokingly called out the former Manchester United and Real Madrid superstar and global icon for NOT following him online during the Sports Personality of the Year ceremony after he was asked about receiving a good luck message from the former England captain before his 2024 World Darts Championship final clash with Luke Humphries.
Interviewed by Gabby Logan, the younger was asked about the text before hilariously responding: "He's not followed me though." Beckham clearly took the message on board - that went viral and made the headlines - as the young darts sensation shared a screen grab from his Instagram account showing Beckham as one of his 1.4million followers. He uploaded the image and tagged his hero in the captain alongside a couple of emojis as he showed just how much he was buzzing over his most recent fan.
Littler is a huge Manchester United fan and sat down for a chat with legendary boss Sir Alex Ferguson earlier in the year. His opening match at the Paddy Power World Championship is hotly-anticipated and he faces Ryan Meikle in the second-round on Saturday night at the Alexandra Palace.
