GOALKEEPER Ollie Wright has been recalled by Southampton from his loan spell at National League side Yeovil Town.

The 22 year old enjoyed a positive first half of the season with the National League side, where he made 31 appearances in all competitions and kept nine clean sheets.

Academy graduate Wright is expected to depart on loan again later this week to gain further first-team experience.

He split last season between Bath City and Worthing, with whom he reached the Vanarama National League South play-off final.

Wright was named Yeovil player of the month in August, his first month at Huish Park.

A statement on the Glovers website said: "We would like to thank Ollie for his efforts during his time with us and wish him all the best for the future."

Wright is currently under contact at Saints until 2026 having agreed new terms towards the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
