Dele Alli unveiled a new celebration at Newcastle.

Dele Alli revealed a new celebration at the weekend and people are being driven crazy trying to replicate it.

The Tottenham midfielder was on target in his side’s opening Premier League fixture with Newcastle United on Saturday lunchtime.

He marked the goal with a new trademark gesture as he held his hand up to his face and made a circle with his thumb and forefinger in an awkward fashion.

It looks a fairly simple manoeuvre at first glance but fans and players alike have been left baffled at how he has managed to perform the action.

The celebration itself remains a mystery and Alli has so far failed to divulge its meaning despite being quizzed about it by fans on social media.

Alli has also posted videos of his team-mates trying to copy the move on his Instagram account.

Tottenham stars Fernando Llorente and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou were unable to mimic the England international.

Alli, who also tagged Danny Welbeck and Jesse Lingard in the post, captioned the video: “Meanwhile. Check this… ” and “Nah I’m done with this guy. The struggle is real.”
