Derby County fans sent crucial travel advice for Norwich City clash
Derby County fans have been urged to allow extra time for their journey for the clash at Norwich City (3pm) due to a crucial road being partly closed this weekend.
As part of National Highways’ work to improve safety and reduce congestion on the A47 in Norfolk, part of the road will be closed this weekend between Honingham Roundabout and Easton Roundabout on the outskirts of Norwich.
Fans attending Carrow Road should allow extra time to complete their journey with supporters travelling from Derby being advised to travel to Norwich via the M1, A14 and A11.

The works form part of a £250m project to improve road capacity on the A47 by constructing a 5.5-mile dual carriageway between North Tuddenham and Easton.
The A47 will be closed from 8pm this Friday (7 Feb) until 6am on Monday (10 Feb) between Honingham Roundabout and Easton Roundabout.
National Highways Programme Leader for the A47 projects Chris Griffin said: “The closure is to allow for utility diversions as part of our works to improve safety and reduce congestion between Norwich and Dereham. Once complete this road upgrade will support economic growth in the area and help connect people.
“Our thanks go to residents and businesses for their patience and understanding while this work is undertaken.”
The project is due to be opened to traffic in spring 2027 and forms part of series of upgrades National Highways is delivering on the A47. These also include dualling a section between Blofield and North Burlingham, which is currently under construction and set to be completed by summer next year.
During this weekend’s closure there will be no access from side roads onto the A47, into Easton from the roundabout on Dereham Road, or onto Norwich Road/Mattishall Road from the Honingham Roundabout.
