Derby County handed new Leeds United verdict after Marcus Harness clash
Former Premier League referee Chris Foy feels Derby County's Marcus Harness was given the correct punishment against Leeds United after a challenge on Ethan Ampadu.
Some Leeds fans on social media demanded the on-loan Ipswich attacker to see red for the tackle after he caught Ampadu in the face with a high boot in the first half of a pulsating Championship clash.
Referee Andy Davies brandished a yellow card in the aftermath as Leeds went on to win the game 1-0 courtesy of a fine goal from Brenden Aaronson. However, after reviewing the incidents from the Christmas fixtures, Foy says the decision made at the time was the correct one.

"I think the referee gets this decision spot on, as it is one which could've easily been portrayed as being a red card," Foy told Behind the Whistle.
"Although the foot of the Derby County player is clearly raised, he has his eyes on the ball the whole time and does not catch his opponent with the studs.
"It is undoubtedly a bookable offence, but the fact he catches his opponent with the top of the foot and not the studs and this is a genuine attempt to win the ball, is enough to suggest it is not quite worthy of a straight red. The referee gets a good view of this and correctly cautions him for a reckless challenge."
