Derby County are reportedly interested in Viking FK striker Lars Salvesen.

Rams head coach Paul Warne is eager to bolster his frontline in this month's transfer window as they look for a strong second half of the season.

And according to reports in Norway, Salvesen is believed to be a name under consideration. The 28-year-old, a 6ft 1in forward, has scored 22 goals in 56 league games for Viking who bought the striker in March 2023 from Bodo/Glimt.

Salvesen, who has played in the Champions League, scored 12 goals in the Eliteserien last season as Viking finished third in the table.

Derby would have to pay a transfer fee for the forward who is under contract having signed a four-year deal with Viking last year.

The Rams are keen on revamping their attack for the second half of the season with Jerry Yates, Dajaune Brown and James Collins currently making up their attack.

The club has already begun the process of moving players out to bring them in with Sonny Bradley having joined Wycombe Wanderers last week.
