With the January transfer window now open, it normally sparks the beginning of a busy period for Chelsea.

While it is expected to be busy, it might be more on the outgoing front than those coming through the door at Stamford Bridge. football.london understands while making a signing has not been ruled out, the higher-ups at Chelsea are happy with the current crop of players and do not want to disrupt what they believe to be a strong first half of the 2024/25 season.

However, there are several players that could leave the club over the course of the month. Below, Bobby Vincent takes a look at seven players that could be on their way out before January's conclusion.

Ben Chilwell

It has been a nightmare for Chilwell this season. Not fancied by Enzo Maresca, the 28-year-old has featured just once for the Blues so far this season - 45 minutes against League Two side Barrow towards the end of September.

Chilwell, a 21-time England international and still the right side of 30, believes he still has plenty to offer. Chelsea are open to allowing the left-back to leave the club this month, preferably on a permanent contract in January. Despite Chilwell not playing in more than three months, there is not expected to be a shortage of suitors for the former Leicester City defender.

Carney Chukwuemeka

Another player that is not in Maresca's plans - that much has been made clear in recent months. While Chukwuemeka has featured on five occasions this term, the 21-year-old has not played in the Premier League for Chelsea.

The Blues are open to letting Chukwuemeka leave, it is understood - whether that be on loan on for good. There is interest from abroad and particularly from AC Milan, but football.london was told last month that the former Aston Villa midfielder would not be moving to the San Siro.

Axel Disasi

Disasi is another one that could leave at some point this month, although Chelsea are understood to be in no rush to let him leave the club. The Frenchman provides cover for both centre-back and right-back - areas where Chelsea have struggled with injuries in recent months.

However, if the right offer came in for the former AS Monaco man, then Chelsea would be willing to do business. Disasi has featured 15 times in all competitions for the Blues this term, but the 26-year-old has only made four Premier League starts.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Now to a man that is yet to make a Premier League start since signing for the club. Dewsbury-Hall followed Maresca from Leicester City to Chelsea but it has not gone to plan whatsoever for the 26-year-old.

He has been a virtually ever-present figure in the UEFA Conference League but his lack of minutes elsewhere has seen him strongly linked with an exit from Stamford Bridge already.

Marc Guiu

Guiu is someone the club still have high hopes for and would likely only sanction a loan this month. The 18-year-old has shown off his tremendous talent in the past two Conference League matches; where he has bagged five goals - including a superb hat-trick in the win against Shamrock Rovers last month.

There is said to be some interest from Spain in taking Guiu on loan this month. Chelsea do not have a Conference League game again until March so minutes for the Spaniard are expected to be sparse until then.

Cesare Casadei

Casadei, like a lot on the list, has been given his opportunities in Europe but not a lot in the Premier League. In the Italian's case, he is yet to feature in the top-flight this season for Chelsea.

Both Monza and Torino have expressed an interest in taking the 21-year-old midfielder on loan until the end of the season. Chelsea are unlikely to stand in the Italy Under-21 international's way with the acceptance that he needs regular first-team minutes to continue his development.

Deivid Washington

Washington has been with the Development Squad this season and will be allowed to leave if any offers come his way, football.london understands. Chelsea were open to allowing the 19-year-old to leave in the summer but a move away never materialised in the end.

Harvey Vale

Vale came very close to moving to Saudi Arabia in the summer but the transfer collapsed at the last minute. However, with the January transfer window now open, and there being plenty of interest in Vale from England and abroad, he is expected to move on from Stamford Bridge this month.
