Rasmus Hojlund needs to 'relax more' and learn how to 'use his strength and pace at the right times' to succeed long term at Manchester United.

That is the view of former United forward Louis Saha, who has talked up the prospect of United possibly signing Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic as an upgrade.

Vlahovic was involved in a heated exchange with Juventus supporters in the wake of their 2-2 draw at home to Venezia on Sunday and there are reports that manager Thiago Motta may want to move in a new direction up front.

The Serbian international scored in last Wednesday's 2-0 win over Man City in the Champions League and has scored 11 goals in 19 games this season.

As such, English clubs are said to be on alert over the 24-year-old's availability in January and he is rated at around £55million from the Italian side.

Hojlund has scored five goals in United's first seven matches under Amorim and has established himself as the club's first choice forward ahead of Joshua Zirkzee.

And while Saha rates Hojlund, he feels the 21-year-old still has much to learn in comparison to a more seasoned forward like Vlahovic.

“Vlahovic is an experienced striker that knows how to use his body and he would fit in really well in the Premier League," Saha told Betfred.

"I’m sure clubs are looking at him, but Manchester United already have two big boys. They may not use their bodies as well as Vlahovic, and I think Rasmus Hojlund is on the floor a little bit too much, but they’re two players that are learning.

"Vlahovic doesn’t need to learn and others strikers such as Victor Osimhen, don't need to learn because they’re physical forwards that use their strength in the right way and they have good football brains. Zlatan Ibrahimovic didn’t solely need to depend on his strength because his footballing IQ was so good.

“Rasmus needs to be more relaxed because he tries too much at times and tires himself out. He needs to learn when to use his strength and pace at the right times. Dusan Vlahovic is a top player and was very impressive for Juventus in the Champions League against Manchester City.”
